This English translation is provided for convenience only; the French version prevails.

    1. Purpose

These general terms govern the sale of handmade products on the Barka Cameroun platform, which connects verified artisans with buyers.

    2. User account

An account is required to order or sell on Barka. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential: you are responsible for all activity carried out from your account. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available in your settings to strengthen its security. Artisans are verified by our team before their shop opens. How we process your personal data is described in our privacy policy.

    3. Products

All products offered are handmade by Cameroonian artisans. Photos and descriptions are provided for information. Slight variations may occur due to the handmade nature of the products.

    4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in CFA francs (XAF) and include applicable taxes. Payment can be made by Mobile Money (MTN, Orange Money), bank card, or cash on delivery depending on the area.

    5. Delivery

Delivery times are indicative and may vary by destination. Barka undertakes to inform the buyer of any significant delay. Delivery costs are calculated according to the destination and the weight of the order.

    6. Right of withdrawal

The buyer has 14 days from delivery to exercise their right of withdrawal, except for personalised or made-to-measure products. See our returns policy.

    7. Warranties

Products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity. In the event of a defect, the buyer may request replacement or refund of the product.

    8. Liability

Barka acts as an intermediary between artisans and buyers. Responsibility for product quality lies with the selling artisans. Barka undertakes to check the identity and reliability of partner artisans.

    9. Intellectual property

The artisans' designs and creations are protected by intellectual property law. Any unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.

    10. Disputes

In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the courts of Cameroon shall have jurisdiction.
